Physical (Visible) vs. Metaphysical (Invisible) Disciplines.
Posted in June 11, 2025

Most people allocate over 90% of their financial resources and time to care for and improve their Physical Well-Being, while their metaphysical aspects are often overlooked and neglected.

We should prioritize the three essential elements of our composition, Body, Soul, and Spirit, in their proper importance:

They are more precisely grouped as two distinct entities:

The physical is the visible aspect.

The metaphysical or the invisible.

Regarding the Physical: The Lord said, “Dust we are.”—Genesis 3:19, “In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

In real life, the skeptical and naive person often concentrates solely on, emphasizes, and worships their physical body, fantasizing that it is all they are or could ever be. The Apostle Paul referred to the body as a “tent.” It is also likened to a “mud hut.”

The Metaphysical—the Invisibles.

The metaphysical invariably boasts two parts: the two Ss, which are the Soul and Spirit.

(i) The Soul: The word soul means “life”; it relates to humanity’s material and immaterial aspects. The argument is that man has a sinful nature, and his soul is tainted with sin inherited from God’s prototype man, Adam. Life’s true essence of the body is the soul.

Our soul features the mind, emotion, and will, which determine our personality and identity.

The mind enables us to do such things as think, reason, remember, and wonder.

Our emotions afford our feelings of love, sorrow, anger, and compassion.

The will is the decision-maker that allows us to choose.

To highlight the vastness of our importance, we are our metaphysical selves, which will survive Physical Death and live for eternity in the future, reigning with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Read more “ Your Total Disarming” Book Two Chapter 4
